In this week’s study, we continue our study in Chapter 6 with the 5th Seal.
when do you think that these seals began their work? Did they begin when Yahshua Messiah opened the bok as we read in the beginning of this chapter?
Or did Yahshua reveal the future to John on these seals and the seal really didn’t effect until Israel become a nation in May of 1948? I throw out that thought based on what He tells us in Matthew 24:32-35
The fifth Seal is marked off and separated from all the others. It stands alone, giving us another side of the picture. The first Seal shows the mighty agency employed by Satan as the earthly leader of the earthly portion of his gathering host. The action of these satanic forces is assumed by the next three Seals (the second, third, and fourth); inasmuch as they are directed against Satan's opposing forces. Once again keep in mind that even though these seals sound like demonic forces behind them, Yahweh is still in charge! Just as we read in Job 2.
In this earthly conflict there can be only suffering and martyrdom for those on the earth who hold and maintain the testimony of the Word of Yahweh, i.e., who hold fast to the special truth communicated in this book and its contents, as defined in 1:2, 9; 12:17. In chap. 20:4, this is further explained as not worshipping the Beast or receiving his mark upon their foreheads.
The two mighty forces [beast and anti-christ] have joined in hostilities; the opposing hosts have met; and those who are on the Lord's side suffer in consequence
10. And they cried with a loud voice = (as Abel's blood was said to cry — Gen. 4:10). Note with great passion and eagerness, being very pressing and persistent; and which shows that they were awake, and not asleep, and that the soul does not sleep with the body in the grave, or is after the death of that in a state of insensibility and inactivity, as some imagine.
Judge and avenge = these souls are waiting for Yahweh’s wrath to those that cause evilness on earth. Note, these souls are killed before the son of Perdition is revealed. This is a call consistent with the Day of Judgment, not with the present day of grace.
11 white robes = The emblems of purity, innocence, and triumph. When those Saints return with Yahshua Messiah at that last trump, in their white robes, they shall look as the clouds in the sky, 1 Thess. 4:17. Read Hebrews 12:1.
That should be killed = that are about to be killed. Now I ask, “How can this be, if the Churches are raptured out?”
As they were = even as those souls under the altar that were slayed for the cause of Yahshua Messiah.
Fulfilled = “play-ro'-o” to fulfill, accomplish. Could this be in reference to the teachings of Yahshua Messiah of his returning at the last trump, in which He taught in Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21?
My intention is to take this study to a deep level. Deeper than most of you are used to! I am asking no one to agree with me; however I do ask that you check every detail that I present out for yourself.
Don’t end up like those in Hosea 4:6 ‘My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God (Elohim), I will also forget thy children.’
But, be like those in 2Timothy 2:15 ‘Study to shew thyself approved unto God (Yahweh), a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.’
