In this week’s study, we continue in Chapter 8.
In our last study we started this 8th Chapter which brings us to the Trumpets. Remember in our last study I discuss the fact that we have determined that Revelation is not in chronological order. It has been commonly taught that the 7th Seal is the event that opens the 7 Trumpets. This teaching is in line with the chronological order theory.
But think about it. The 6th Seal and the 7th Trumpet happen at the same moment in time. How, then, is it possible for the 7th Seal to open all 7 Trumpets? The answer is simple. It can’t.
If we take a quick look at the ending of the 6th and 7th Seals, the 7th Trumpet and the 7th Vial they would all have the same ending. We must ask ourselves, “Does Babylon fall once or Twice? Rev. 14:8, 18:2; Great Shaking Powers From Heaven Rev. 8:5, 11:13, 11:19, 16:18; Sun Become Black Rev. 6:12, 16:10; Great Hail Rev. 11:19, 16:21; Mountain & Islands Move Rev. 6:12, 16:20; Yahweh’s Wrath Rev. 6:17, 11:18, 14:9-10, 14:19, 15, 16; 19:15.”
John categorized everything written in the book of Revelation into one of three categories – Things which thou hast seen, things which are and things which shall be hereafter. This tells us immediately that the entire book is not prophetic. Not all of Revelation is future.
After introducing Yahshua Messiah in Chapter 1, we then read John’s seven letters to the seven churches in Asia. Were these merely letters to churches that existed in his day, or did they mean something deeper? Were they really prophecies of seven future “Church Ages?” Clearly, these were seven letters to seven churches. The problem that existed in the churches of John’s day still very much exists in churches of today. There is reason to assume otherwise. Chapters 2 and 3 fall into John’s “things which are” category.
In the first verse of Chapter 4, John clearly shifts to his third category – “Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.” Chapter 4 begins prophecies for future events.
We are given three different views of the end time. Each view gives different details, not unlike how Matthew, Mark, Luke and John record the life of Yahshua Messiah from four different perspectives.
The first view of prophetic events given Revelation is the 7 Seals. The Seals are the long story, and they end at Armageddon. The second account is told through the 7 Trumpets. The Trumpets contains s shorter view then the Seals, meanings they span a shorter period of time. But they have the same ending point – Armageddon. The 7 Vials are the last story. The Vials are the very short account of end time events, and they, too, end at Armageddon.
Because there are three different starting points all with the same ending point, we can know that Revelations is not written chronologically from beginning to end.
The 6th Seal, 7th Trumpet and 7th Vial are the same event. The event is the Wrath of Elohim. It begins immediately after the Great Tribulation, and it is when Armageddon is fought. The Battle of Armageddon and the Battle of Gog and Magog are the same battle.
The seven Archangels of Yahweh:
Uriel – ‘fire of El’ - This angel spoke to Ezra in the prophecy of Ezra. He seems to know much about the judgments to come.
Raphael – ‘the divine healer’ - He is involved in guarding spirits of mankind, even those yet unsaved.
Raguel – ‘friend of El’ - He is sent to judge wicked men and fallen angels.
Michael – ‘who is like El’ - He is the guardian of the saints of Yahweh
Saraqael – ‘prince of El’ - This judgment angel judges those who lead others to sin.
Gabriel – ‘man of El’ - He is the ‘in charge’ angel over all angels, fallen and holy and in charge of Eden.
Phanuel – ‘face of El’ - he is head guardian angel over those who guard the saints.
