Description

In this week’s study, I finish in Chapter 11.

Keep in mind that at this point in time we are in the 6th trumpet, 5th seal, as we have learned in a prior study that the 6th seal, 7th trumpet and 7th vial all show the same events, Earthquakes, sun black, moon blood, stars fall, mountains islands move, Yahweh Wrath, great voices, lightings voices thunders and great hail.

In verses 3-14 we have the account of the Two Witnesses, one of the most serious and mysterious scenes of the whole Apocalypse. It is the test of all interpretations, and one over which many make shipwreck. The particulars of the mission of these Two Witnesses are given with great detail.

In our last study we seen the resurrection of the 2 witnesses and the great earthquake and the 10th part of the city fell. Also 7000 men were slain.

The 2nd woe is past; behold the 3rd woe cometh quickly!

Now we come to the:

THE SOUNDING OF THE SEVENTH TRUMPET.

This is the final development of Daniel’s 70th week, and here we witness the tearful sigh of relief not only from the martyred saints who have been crying out to the Lord, “How long?”, but also the collective sigh of every saint down through redemptive history who has lived in anticipation of frankly two things: one, the consummation of all things when Yahweh comes to judge the world, to judge unbelievers and all who have mocked him and, secondly, in anticipation of the coronation of Yahshua Messiah as King of kings and Lord of lords, as the Messiah our King who has the title deed comes to the earth to destroy the usurper Satan and take back all of creation which is rightfully his.

At the peak of the satanic beast’s world power—referring to the antichrist—with the world indulging in the most vile wickedness imaginable, we see the final seven plagues of Yahweh’s wrath being poured out.  In fact, in Revelation 15 verse one we read, “Seven plagues, which are the last, because in them the wrath of Yahweh is finished.”

The Seventh Trumpet brings us back to Heaven and to the Third Vision seen there by John. For it is "in heaven" that the Trumpet is sounded. We already know that, when the Temple of Yahweh is opened in Heaven, all 7 Vials will be poured out. We now see that this will happen during the era of the 7th Trumpet.
The Seventh Trumpet thus embraces the whole of the seven Vials, or last seven plagues, which make up the "Third Woe."

The Seventh Trumpet, therefore, really reaches from chapter 11:15 to 18:24, or even to 20:5, for it takes in the whole of the remaining judgments, and consists of the remaining five pairs of Visions "in heaven" and "on earth," and occupies about one half of the whole Apocalypse. This shows us the importance of the Scripture on which we are now about to enter.

In chapter 11:7, the mighty angel declared, "in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall sound, the secret of Yahweh should be finished":

Don’t end up like those in Hosea 4:6 ‘My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God (Elohim), I will also forget thy children.’

But, be like those in 2Timothy 2:15 ‘Study to shew thyself approved unto God (Yahweh), a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.’
