In this week’s study, I continue in Chapter 13 verses 2-4.
NOW WE COME TO THE WRATH OF SATAN
13:1-18.
The Result of the "War in Heaven" as regards the Earth at large.
We have seen and considered the result of the "War in Heaven" as it concerns Israel. We have now to consider its further effect as it concerns the Earth at large.
This effect is twofold, inasmuch as it results in the rise of the Two Beasts:
The one from the Sea (verses -1-10).
The other from the Earth (verses 11-18).
We now begin in this Chapter 13. I personally find this chapter 13 most interesting. I believe that this chapter 13 shows us what we can expect during this period of The Wrath of Satan. Matter of fact we will be creating another chart showing this Wrath of Satan. So follow along as we Unravel this chapter 13!!!!!
We see in this Chapter 13, 2 different beast systems. We must ask ourselves who they are and what are they up to.
Also we read of a “mark”. We need to find out what is this “mark” and is this “mark” in effect today?
Now keep in mind that while we are studying about this 2 beast system within the 4th Vision of John, which is on this earth, that the 2 witnesses are preaching the Gospel of Yahshua Messiah and exposing this 2 beast system that is attacking the area of Jerusalem and the ripple effect throughout the world. (By the way, Do you see the Positive and Negative of this? 2 witnesses verse the 2 beast system?) Now these 2 witnesses, by their actions, aggravates Satan and Satan turns on the heat on those that hear what those 2 witnesses which are exposing Satan’s plan to destroy souls, therefore the people that listen to the words and see the actions of the 2 witnesses honor and worship and realize where their salvation lies that leads them to eternal life comes from! Let me ask you something, have you ever considered why Satan and his evil co-horts place the 2 witnesses out on the streets? I believe that in Satan’s 1st attempt by having Yahshua Messiah killed and placed in a tomb, which lead to the disappearance of Yahshua Messiah, this caused Satan to place the 2 witnesses in the streets so the whole world could see the power of Satan and the people can watch to see their bodies rot on the streets! The problem is that those of us that have read the Book of Revelation know the outcome of the resurrection of the 2 witnesses and then the 3rd woe which leads to the 7th Trumpet.
2 Power = ‘doo-nam-is’ force. This is where we get the word dynamite.
Seat = throne. Could this be in reference to Rev. 2:13? Pergamus!
3 And I saw one of his heads, as it were wounded to death = this verse indicates some sort of ‘resurrection’. The phrase “wounded to death” means properly that it received a mortal wound, that is, the wound would have been mortal if it had not been healed.
All the world wondered after the beast = Gave it their wonder and admiration.
4. And they worshipped the dragon = The devil, in the idols, images, angels, and saints departed
and they worshipped the beast = not only in a civil way, being subject to him as their temporal lord, to whom they give homage; obedience, and tribute, but in a religious way;
Who is like unto the beast? = That is, he is to be regarded as unequalled and as supreme. This was, in fact, ascribing honors to him, which belonged only to Yahweh
Who is able to make war with him? = That is, he is invincible. They thus credited to him omnipotence - an attribute belonging only to Yahweh.
