In this week’s study, I finish with Chapter 13, which pertains to the 2 beast syst
13:1-18. The Result of the "War in Heaven" as regards the Earth at large.
We have seen and considered the result of the "War in Heaven" as it concerns Israel. We have now to consider its further effect as it concerns the Earth at large.
This effect is twofold, inasmuch as it results in the rise of the Two Beasts:
The one from the Sea (verses -1-10).
The other from the Earth (verses 11-18).
We now begin in this Chapter 13. I personally find this chapter 13 most interesting. I believe that this chapter 13 shows us what we can expect during this period of The Wrath of Satan. Matter of fact we will be creating another chart showing this Wrath of Satan. So follow along as we Unravel this chapter 13!!!!!
We see in this Chapter 13, 2 different beast systems. We must ask ourselves who they are and what are they up to.
Also we read of a “mark”. We need to find out what is this “mark” and is this “mark” in effect today?
Now keep in mind that while we are studying about this 2 beast system within the 4th Vision of John, which is on this earth, that the 2 witnesses are preaching the Gospel of Yahshua Messiah and exposing this 2 beast system that is attacking the area of Jerusalem and the ripple effect throughout the world. (By the way, Do you see the Positive and Negative of this? 2 witnesses verse the 2 beast system?) Now these 2 witnesses, by their actions, aggravates Satan and Satan turns on the heat on those that hear what those 2 witnesses which are exposing Satan’s plan to destroy souls,

16. he = the second beast, NOT the first beast
To receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads = The word here rendered “mark” - χάραγμα charagma - occurs only in one place in the New Testament except in the Book of Revelation, Acts 17:29, where it is rendered “graven.”
17. might buy = Greek, “may be able to buy.”
Save = except
the mark, or the name = Greek, “the mark (namely), the name of the beast.” The mark may be, as in the case of the sealing of the saints in the forehead, not a visible mark, but symbolical of allegiance.
18. Wisdom = “sunesis” = it is a noun, meaning native insight, understanding, capacity to apprehend; used of reflective thought, while “Sophia” (wisdom) is used of productive thought.
Let him = in the Greek, “He that”
Understanding = “nous” mind
And the language here indicates that there is some evidence of special intelligence that Yahweh will give believers of that day. They will have wisdom and understanding. “Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.” So this mysterious riddle will be deciphered by believers in that day as Yahweh gives them special insight.
