After being led into a trap by a forged letter, the Embers once again find themselves face to face with the evil warlock Reagus Varl and the otherworldly abominations that do his bidding. As the battle rages the toll demanded by the eldritch forces from which Varl draws his power continue to take their tolls on his body, leeching away what little humanity he has left.
