The conversation begins with the panel sharing their reactions to the sudden news and the stories of where they were when they first heard of the Queen’s passing, describing the shock and sadness that has swept the nation.
The panel then goes on to share some of their favourite personal memories of the Queen. Willie explains how he made her laugh with an inappropriate joke, and Mick recalls how he gave the Queen some “good luck” at the races when he met her at one of his football games.
The discussion then moves on to the racing industry, when the guests discuss the value Queen Elizabeth II has brought to the industry, and describe her talent and multiple successes in the races. Together, they question what the industry would look like in the future without the Queen’s influence.
