On January 15, 1947, the bi-sected body of 22 year old aspiring actress Elizabeth Short was discovered in a Los Angeles neighborhood. “Beth” as she was known to her friends, had made acquaintances of all sorts while living in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. Despite many viable suspects, the case went cold, and remains unsolved. Tragically, Elizabeth did not achieve the fame she was seeking while she was alive. Instead the shocking nature of her murder earned her a moniker that will forever be synonymous with the dark side of Hollywood.
