Chandra Levy, an ambitious 24 year old intern at the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Washington D.C., went missing on May 1, 2001. Chandra’s remains were discovered over a year later in Rock Creek Park, a popular walking trail in Washington D.C. The investigation into Chandra’s disappearance and death was fraught with missteps and missed opportunities. To further complicate the quest for justice, Chandra’s affair with married Congressman Gary Condit became a media focus. Although a man was convicted of Chandra’s murder, the case is technically unsolved.
