In tonight’s episode we will read and discuss three creepy tales from Alvan Schwartz’s Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. Schwartz’s anthology, released in 1981, is a collection of macabre tales inspired by folklore, legends and the supernatural. The book was one of the most banned books of the 1990’s due to parental complaints about the violent content of the stories, and the disturbing drawings of Stephen Gammell. If you enjoy your tales, short, sweet, and spooky tune in for “The Hearse Song,” “The Thing” and “The Window.” I recommend that you listen with the lights on.
