It’s our Halloween-i-sode! The Eastern State Penitentiary (1822-1971) was built  outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in response to prison reform. In its 142 year tenure it housed over 75,000 prisoners.  Perhaps its most famous compulsory guest was Al Capone, who served time for a weapons charge in 1929-30.  There were at least 2 murders in ESP, and many prisoners committed suicide, succumbed to disease or died of all age.  Since the 1940’s, witnesses have reported paranormal activity. Today Eastern State Penitentiary is thriving as a tourist attraction.  So once you get done handing out candy, listen to us chat about one of the spookiest prisons in the United States.
