Welcome to Season #3 Episode #4 of That Pretentious Book Club!

In this week's episode Spoons and Wheezy discuss a new favorite (and the first book reviewed by the pod to receive over 5 pinkies up from Ash), If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio. This New Adult thriller-meets-mystery-meets-play-meets-drama is impeccably written, and draws from Shakespeare as a primary source of inspiration. In fact, the author's way of weaving the bard's words into this drama set primarily in 1997 may make you consider giving his works another try.  Recorded remotely, this episode jumps right in to the story - and although all TPBC episodes are spoiler-y, just a warning that this is a book you might want to read first since it's a mystery - but we wouldn't dare tell you how to listen to podcasts.

Pour yourself a cup of tea, raise a pinky, and join the club for this discussion of If We Were Villains
