In this week's episode I share what I call "the Shocks Principle." It comes down to this: great leaders insulate their people from a lot of the pressures they feel.
I learned this principle early in my management career when I worked for a leader who seemed to forget what incredible talent we had on our team. I share that story from my days of running a news radio station in the western United States in this week's show.
I decided to talk about this topic because of some experiences I've had lately where I've seen leaders do a pretty poor job of protecting their team from turbulence. I'd love your feedback on this principle.
