This week on Appalachian Vibes my guest is Cody Christian, the Powhatan, Virginia born Americana artist. In late 2021 Cody decided it was time to quit his job of 8 years at a ship yard when he was forced to choose between complying with his companies standards, or shaving his face. He constructed an email to all of the employees:
To whom it may concern:
"After eight years of devoted employment I have concluded that I deserve to work in an environment where my beard is valued. I have accepted a position as a honky tonk man, and I can't seem to stop"....adding "I wish you all the best of luck as you mismanage this company into inevitable bankruptcy."
