EVENT OVERVIEW

In 2012 and 2015 NHS Wales embarked on a major AP transformation, resulting in the creation of two services centres servicing four NHS trusts and seven health boards.  This ambitious undertaking established an Accounts Payable function of 130 staff that handles 1,800,000 transactions totalling approximately £4.6 billion spend per-annum.

Frances Lawrence, FD at FISCAL Technologies will be meeting with Russell Ward, Head of AP and Enablement to discuss how the NHS Wales Shared Services overcame the many obstacles on the road to accounts payable transformation.  Russell will detail how agile working, robotics and automation resulted in process improvement and employee satisfaction.  This enabled the team to become an award-winning, remote working, profit centre within a very short timescale.
