Religion thrives off a small view of Jesus. A tiny view of Jesus and the gospel will always create a BIG opportunity for us to be suckered by the sales pitch of religion. As long as our perspective of Jesus is shrunken, we will always be tempted to look elsewhere for completeness, for blessing, and satisfaction. This temptation to look beyond Jesus for rescue is nothing new. The early church in Colossae was under attack with the lies of religion as are we today. How do we combat this? What is the antidote to a small view of Jesus and the gospel? The apostle Paul shows us. The solution is to see and savor the real thing...the Supreme and Sufficient Jesus Christ!
