CRIMINAL BEATS: Our last song in the Criminal Beats series is "Franki & Johnny" which has been recorded 256 times by different artists including Jack Johnson and Louis Armstrong! The catchy tune that went on to Hollywood films as well as Broadway was known to be inspired by two very grim murders...one by Franki Baker and the other by Franki Silver. In this episode, we will discuss the first murder, Franki Baker! Her case was unfair all around, and the song didn't quite match what actually happened. But one thing is for sure, "he was doing her wrong..."
