In 2016, millionaire Blake Leibel tortured and mutilated Hollywood model Iana Kasian who had just given birth to their daughter. Presumed to be out of jealousy of the baby, he scalped Iana and drained her blood. The scene was similar to a grim novel he had helped create in 2010 called “Syndrome,” foreshadowing the tragedy.
