Melissa is a journalist covering China for Time Magazine during the years of the Tiananmen Square uprising, has worked as a staff correspondent for The Australian, reported on federal politics from the Press Gallery, and has covered Singapore and Australia for Newsweek Magazine. She is the co-editor of the books, ‘The Beijing Bureau’ and her most recent book, ‘Through Her Eyes: Australia’s Women Correspondents from Hiroshima to Ukraine.
What I personally love about this conversation is Melissa’s authentic passion surrounding the transformation and somewhat liberation of women in media. Melissa speaks to women taking their rightful place in the male-dominated industry; a true advocate for women and diversity in media.
