Description

The first episode of The COVID Chronicles explores the implications of the novel coronavirus. By investigating the virus from a multidisciplinary perspective, host Kat Pitts uncovers how the virus came to be, what’s happening now, and what we can anticipate for the future.  

Featured guests include Polly Price, a global health professor in the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University; Nadine Kaslow, a professor and vice-chair for faculty development in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and director of the Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in Professional Psychology at the Emory University School of Medicine; and Max Lau, an assistant professor at the Rollins School of Public Health in the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Department whose research interests include disease ecology and infectious disease dynamics.

Student Highlight: Kat Pitts is an aspiring public health professional and senior studying anthropology and global health at Emory University.

The COVID Chronicles covers a variety of public health topics intertwined with the pandemic, as reported by the students in the HLTH 385: Health & Science Podcasting class during the Fall 2020 and Fall 2021 semesters.
