While Chicago grabbed all the headlines, the rest of the Midwest was also burning in 1871. A perfect storm of dry conditions, logging, and craz-o winds led to multiple massive fires across Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan on October 8th, 1871. Grab a bucket and some friends, we got work to do!
