While we commonly celebrate annual holidays like Christmas and Easter, these celebrations aren't explicitly mentioned in the New Testament. This episode delves into daily and weekly responsibilities in the context of the Leviticus text, emphasizing their significance for contemporary believers.

In Leviticus Chapter 24, we find a significant distinction between the practices of the Old Testament and those followed today. Beyond the seven annual feasts observed in the Old Testament, there were other responsibilities laid out for the Israelites. These responsibilities help us understand our obligations beyond gathering for worship on Sundays.

1. Seven Annual Feasts: In the Old Testament, there were seven annual feasts: Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, Feast of Weeks (Pentecost), Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, and Feast of Tabernacles (Booths). Each held unique significance but isn't directly addressed in the New Testament.
2. Observe the Sabbath: While not a feast, observing the Sabbath weekly remains a commandment. Leviticus Chapter 24 emphasizes that these daily and weekly obligations bridge the gap between grand festivals and uninterrupted daily fellowship with God. It reminds us that God's presence isn't confined to special occasions but is part of our daily lives.
3. Ongoing Connection with God: The passage regarding the maintenance of the lampstand and table of showbread in the Tabernacle highlights the importance of ongoing daily and weekly dedication and connection with God. These duties symbolize the continual presence of God in the midst of His people, serving as a reminder in the holy place of the Tabernacle.
