Kim is a teaching professor and Associate Dean of Science at Carleton University.
She is also the co-host of the popular podcast, Minding the Brain.
"As a young scientist I was very passionate about understanding the impact of early life trauma."
Kim has been studying the impact of trauma on the brain for 20 years in an effort to understand the nature of substance use disorder.
