This week:
James and Jennifer Crumbly became the first parents in US history to be convicted of manslaughter because of a school shooting by their son. They both now face 10-15 years in prison due to not intervening to stop their son before his rampage. Is it just for parents to pay for the sins of their son? We will see what scripture has to say!
Sound Investigations went undercover in a series of meetings with Gavin O’Blennis, a contractor for both the FBI and CIA. The hidden camera caught shocking revelations, including that the intelligence agencies allegedly have a vested interest in “nudging” pro-lifers towards incriminating activity. Why would this be a good use of the agency’s time and energy, and how is this at all ethical?
Legislation is underway in Florida and the UK to try to address the massive social and psychological problems smartphones are causing minors. While the legislation has massive parental support, it still faces many obstacles! Should the government be intervening in this way, and what deeper issue does this legislation expose?
All that AND ONE last segment answering a question I have gotten a LOT through my years as a pastor: “What Bible translation should I be using?” We will look at why there are so many translations and which one may be right for you!
All that and more on Episode 58 of the CTP!
