A rainy and stormy day is expected today. Expect rain showers this morning with thunderstorms developing in the afternoon/evening. A few storms may become strong to marginally severe and be capable of producing hail and gusty winds. Thunderstorms will move east during the overnight and exit into East Texas by Friday morning. Locally heavy rainfall will be possible at times under stronger storms. On average, 0.75" to 1.5" is expected along/east of I-35 through Friday morning with locally higher amounts. Lesser amounts are expected west of I-35.
