Advent Week Four: Love
Join us for Canon Tim Clayton's sermon for Advent Week 4, Loved and Not Forgotten

This week we look at the beautiful story of Mary and the prayer known as the Magnificat. God has moved, Mary rejoices and declares that we have been remembered,  "the Lord has helped His servant Israel remembering His mercy, as He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and his descendants through all ages..."

We know from history that the folks who lived in the area where Mary lived were quite poor; the region was occupied by a foreign power; she was to be in an arranged marriage that was probably not a big "romance", and that life had not been easy for them in any manner of speaking, and yet they had been waiting for God to move in their lives.

Her response when the angel comes to her is openness, vulnerability, complete devotion and trust in God. In our own lives there are those challenges that have been hard to "wait" through. But God has remembered and not forgotten you.

Join us Sunday Mornings at 10 am on Boston's North Shore in Hamilton, MA. We meet in the Kaiser Chapel on the beautiful and scenic campus of Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary 130 Essex St, South Hamilton, MA 01982.
