This Advent we are looking at the story through the lens of Mary. The one single person in all of history who was closest to Jesus, his mom. Historically we know that Mary was in Ephesus later in life. Can you imagine the Christmas Eve gatherings there with the community in Ephesus? "Mary, tell us the story again..."

Mary and her willingness to say, "let it be".
Mother Jen reminds us of the journeys of Mary and the many experiences she went through both literally and mystically. Joy and anguish, great faith and deep doubt, and yet we are told that through it all her life is about consistently staying within God's bigger story. We look at the courage that Mary had to continue to show up in a story that perhaps looked different than she thought it might be, and how that might encourage us in our own stories.
