Easter Week 7
Join us for Cn Tim Clayton's sermon:
Ascension Day - Psalm 23

We continue our look at Psalm 23 and Ascension Day.
New life that lasts forever.

Join us for this insightful sermon as we continue walking through the story of Jesus in his ministry through the lens of his understanding of where he is going in his life, through death, to the resurrection, and to his ascension.

Ascension Day - 40 days after Easter - Ash Wednesday is 40 days before Easter. Swinging a hinge from the one day a year we talk about death and remember that we are dust (Ash Wednesday), through the cross and death of Jesus on Good Friday, to the Resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday, all the way to the day of Christ's ascension to heaven. 40 days before Easter to 40 days after Easter.

As we continue our look deeper at Psalm 23, we remember that Jesus identified deeply with this Psalm, as it quietly parallels the Lord's Prayer. In particular we remember that, "surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life..."

What does this tell us about the plan of God?
God creates out of nothing, creates out of love, creates with a desire for relationship with His creation. The ultimate proof that LOVE is the core of all that exists is that it was known before the creation of the world that Christ would suffer, die, and rise again from the dead.
