Jesus - the Beginning, the Light, the Root, the Source
As we continue our journey through Christmas Tide, Tim shares an insightful sermon on John chapter 1. What does it mean that Jesus was the Light? the Source? the Root of all creation? And how is it that Jesus embodies the fullness of being human?
From our scripture in the gospel of John, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through him, and without him not one thing came into being. What has come into being in him was life, and the life was the light of all people. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it."The very God that made the whole cosmos, is offering each of us, his hand of friendship to walk with us through life.
