Easter Week 2
Listen to Cn Tim's sermon: Let My Soul Breathe

Connecting to the living God.
This week Tim looks at Colossians Chapter 2 and the story of Jesus, risen from the dead, and how the influences we are raised with and currently live within can sometimes leave us flat (family, history, media, marketing, movies, social media, school, work, life pressures), all of these influences we literally are swimming in every day. Tim shows us how these are contrasted with the life-giving resurrection of Jesus; how the first apostles noted that the resurrection of Jesus from the dead literally "neutered" and "despoiled" those influences, and how his love can reset and rebuild our lives so that our souls can breathe, and we can connect with the living God in Christ Jesus.

Tim looks at the images Paul uses, comparing those areas of our lives to that of a document or record that's ready to be submitted to the authorities. The document would've been written in wax, but because of Jesus, the record is wiped out, the page is reset. All of the writing smoothed away with the flick of the writer's tool, the words in the wax are wiped away, the pages of our lives are reset.
