Listen to Canon Tim Clayton's sermon: Mercy and Forgiveness, The Beginning Place
Join us as Tim walks us through some interesting questions.
What does it mean to be a fully alive human being?
What would a fully whole, fully well, fully alive human being look like?
It would look like a person who loves the Lord their God with all their soul, all their mind, all their strength, and who loves their neighbor as themselves.
We look at Luke chapter 10 where Jesus is asked, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"
Tim reminds us that God is always showing us so much more mercy, forgiving us so much more than we even realize. Sometimes we find ourselves looking back on things that we've done or that have been done to us that have been hurtful, or that have made us feel regret or shame, and maybe it's hard to find peace within ourselves. Moments in our life that trouble us. In these moments, Jesus embracing us says, "I know, and I love you, and I have mercy for you...I have a new beginning for you."
