The Books of the Minor Prophets are simply shorter books.
But the beauty of the Minor Prophet books is that because they are shorter, they tend to get right to the point and "name" the issues at hand.
Jonah:
When and where does the Book of Jonah really come from?
What do we know about Jonah aside from his appearance in the Book of Jonah, and his prophecy in the Book of 2 Kings to King Jeroboam the Second?
Another interesting point is that we don't know of any other prophets who disobeyed the Lord, other than Jonah. So what can we learn from what Jonah is thinking about, what he's learning about, and what's happening in his life?
In this fascinating teaching, Trevor unpacks the story of Jonah and how it deeply relates to each of our own lives. From Jonah 3:10-4: 1 "When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened. But to Jonah this seemed very wrong, and he became angry."
Where does this all land? What's the home base that we can rely on? The co-suffering, unconditional love and care that God has for each one of us.
