Pentecost
Join us for Cn Tim Clayton's sermon:
Pentecost

Join us for this inspiring sermon as we look at the story of Pentecost, and the birth of the church.

Why did the early church grow to the place where it got itself "in trouble"?
Why did people come from all over the Roman empire to visit and experience something in the central place where the community of the church was, and had made ripples in the empire of Rome and all of its social hierarchy? Because of the Spirit of Jesus. Not as some "other thing", but as the charisma, the persona, the energy, the "life" of Jesus, alive and fresh in this small community. In them, close to them, filling them.

The communities that were born after Pentecost, reflected the way Jesus interacted with the world. Jesus, who was and is, great enough, strong enough, mighty enough, to have humbled himself and laid down his life out of love for his friends. What does this mean for our lives today?
