Epiphany Week Six
Listen to Cn Tim's sermon: The Heart Knower
In this moving sermon on World Mission Sunday, Tim shares some powerful stories from his own past ministry and missions along with those from Peter and Paul.
Even in the earliest church, in the earliest days, even with people who had met the resurrected Jesus, there were those who were saying, "wait a minute, why hasn't this whole thing been completed yet?" And so Peter writes to them to remind them that God hasn't lost the plot, encouraging them to hold on, he's not slow, God just has a different kind of timing.
Living in Post Christian America, sometimes it's easier to talk and or think about "world mission" than it is to talk about "mission" in our home country.
Yet, God is the Heart Knower, and in response we should simply love people, cross cultures, sow seeds, nurture, care, let things develop in the beauty of God's light and love. Grieve but do not grieve without hope and know that you are beloved, dearly beloved.
