The Transfiguration of Jesus
In this moment on Mount Tabor (a hill in Israel),
Jesus was shifting his focus off of the miracles his disciples had witnessed Jesus doing,and onto WHO HE IS. Unlike Moses, who saw a burning bush, who's face shined with God's glory; unlike Paul who saw a bright light that blinded him on the road to Damascus; Jesus was transfigured in this moment and ablaze with the supernatural brightness of heaven.
They were seeing the Divine, otherworldly, Jesus in all his glory.
With grace and kindness, Wendy brilliantly walks us through this important and powerful story of the Transfiguration of Jesus. May God transform each one of us and make us ready and eager to grow in love for God and for one another.
