One of the underrated things about Chillicothe is the existence of a transit system that can get people from place to place. Chillicothe Transit System has rocketed to the forefront of the community's consciousness after the trial of a trolley in downtown last year and the city's participation in the Bloomberg Harvard Innovation Track.
In the midst of this, Chris Weinland joined CTS as the new director. He comes from Columbus and a career outside the transit field, but he's quickly fallen in love with Chillicothe, its people, and is working with the administration to continue making great strides with transit. It's an exciting time for people moving in our little town - the advent of a new on-demand service, the emergence of the trolley, and much, much more.
