Trust is essential for change success but it’s certainly not a given. Trust is always earned. Research shows without a doubt that a lack of trust within an organisation leads to a resistance to change, poor performance and is a major roadblock when it comes to delivering a successful transformation program.

So how do you build trust? In this episode, I share 3 practical ways that you as the change leader can up the trust factor to help to remove barriers, keep momentum going and help employees join the dots between the new way of doing things and what it means for their role.

I dive into consistently articulating a strategic narrative or change story and establishing a cross functional leadership team to create a united leadership front. I also discuss how vital it is to invest in capability uplift which establishes an environment where employees are valued and feel safe to learn.

These tips are relevant to your change program, no matter what. Whether you’re entirely redesigning the organisation or switching from paper based to digital briefings, your business is made up of 5 people in one building or you have thousands of employees scattered across the globe, do these 3 things and you will absolutely build more trust.
