The sport of professional wrestling experienced a renaissance in both popularity and creativity in the late 90's. But less than a year after the WCW film Ready To Rumble flopped a the box office, the company went out of business. Coincidence?
Yeah probably. But all we want to talk about today is what the film does well! Oliver Platt's Jimmy King character fits right in alongside the wrestling personalities of the time, and David Arquette embodies the best of early 2000's juvenile humor.
