Remember when Seth Rogen was a superhero? After years of development, a movie based on the pulp character The Green Hornet finally hit theaters in 2011, starring the "chubby stoner guy" from recent comedy hits. Also it's directed by Michel Gondry of Eternal Sunshine and music video fame? The end result is as strange as it sounds, which may be why the movie underperformed at the box office and failed to impress critics.
But today we dig into this strange adaptation to find everything worth praising! Just how cool are those visuals? Does Rogen rise above his early 00's persona? Can Jay Chou live up to the role made famous by Bruce Lee?
