Dozens of Willard residents came together Saturday morning for the city’s Day of Service, focusing this year on improvements to Central Park. The city has been participating in the 9/11 National Day of Service for several years. Created shortly after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the observance was designed to honor those lost by turning the anniversary into a time when people of all ages serve together in their communities.
