In this last episode on a 4 part series on Healthy Christian Sexual Ethics, Ashley unpacks Margaret Farley's last four norms. Farley's norms for a just sexual ethic are:
1. Do no unjust harm.
2. Free consent.
3. Mutuality.
4. Equality (of power).
5. Commitment.
6. Fruitfulness.
7. Social Justice.
Ashley also walks listeners through bell hooks' definition of love. If Farley's norms provide a foundation for just love, bell hooks' provides the building blocks for healthy, romantic love. According to hooks, love is spiritually nourishing yourself and nourishing someone else. We express that spiritual nourishment through 6 actions:
1. Care
2. Commitment
3. Trust
4. Knowledge
5. Responsibility
6. Respect
