Aloe
Aloe spp.
Appearance: Aloe is a plant that grows well in hot, dry climates. Their leaves are long and green, with small points along their edges. Their flowers grow in spikes and are yellow in color.
Today, aloe plants are used as a main ingredient in burn care products. In Bible times, aloes were used in wound treatment and perfume mixtures. In the following passage, aloe is referenced as a blessing upon Israel.
How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel! As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river's side, as the trees of lign aloes which the Lord hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters.
