Fig
Ficus carica
Appearance: The fig is a shrub or tree that grows up to 30 feet and has smooth gray bark. Its leaves are deeply lobed. The fruit of the fig has green skin that matures to purple or brown.
After Adam and Eve ate the fruit in the Garden, they realized they had sinned and that they were naked, so they sewed fig leaves together for clothing.
Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons.
