Ashley Ray! Before I ever even saw Ashley do stand up or followed her on twitter, I was a fan. I met her through my wife and we had one conversation that lasted, like, maybe 20 minutes and it was just clear she was special. You'll see why in the episode!
She's got a Midwest work ethic and a world-wide intellect. She consumes media and art in the way I aspire to, the way that the good, open, and evolved people who live in my head but aren't me that I constantly compare myself to do. She doesn't just watch TV and movies, she considers them, lets them inform and transform her worldview, and her creative process. Her love of stories is really pure, and as a little pessimist, I find that really inspiring and beautiful.
Also, she's really just fucking funny and cool, man.
