Description

On this episode, I tell a little story about a cross country road trip I took a very long time ago.

For terrible photos of my trip, check out our Facebook and Instagram.   Also, please forgive the movement sounds on my microphone as I was working with a handheld this time around.

I recorded this story awhile back, so I think it’s important that I acknowledge the highly publicized recent disappearance and death of Gabby Pettito, who went missing while on a cross-country trip with her fiancée.

Her age and the fact that she is also from Long Island and that she set out almost exactly 28 years from the time of my trip, have haunted me.

I am thankful that there are no other obvious parallels between us and I am praying for her family and loved ones that they find peace and justice.

My story  is light in nature, and for entertainment purposes so it’s important that as the listener, you can separate the two.  If you find the aforementioned triggering, please revisit this show at a later time.  I won’t be offended.

If you or anyone you know are in distress, please contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800.799.SAFE (7233) or visit TheHotline.Org for confidential resources and support.

This episode contains lots of swear words and is intended for listeners over the age of 18.
