I’ll talk you through the process I go through with my clients and how you can learn to embrace your vulnerability rather than it being something that scares you.
In today’s episode, I share some journal prompts with you that look at your relationship with vulnerability and how you can move through some of your fears or blocks around it.
JOURNAL PROMPTS
- What does vulnerability mean to you?
- How comfortable are you being vulnerable or expressing your feelings?
- What happens when you are vulnerable?
- What fears do you have around vulnerability?
- What was your childhood like?
- How do your family behave when it comes to emotions or expressing love? (do they shut it down or do they encourage it?
- What have past incidents or relationships led you to believe about vulnerability?
- What do you think the benefits to being vulnerable are?
I also shared some of the mindset shifts that you may need to work through.
MINDSET SHIFTS
- Vulnerability isn’t a bad word
- You can start small. You don’t have to go from not expressing anything to telling everyone how you’re feeling in one go.
- FEAR is GOOD!!!! Fear shows up when we approach the unknown, but it’s a good thing. When you learn to embrace fear, you will take a step closer to what you want for your life.
- Vulnerability supports the life you want to live
- Not being open and honest drives a wedge between people.
