Description

The idea off "work-life balance" is a lie and can be misleading because really, work is PART OF life, not half of it. The goal shouldn’t be to achieve some perfect "work-life balance" but rather to achieve more balance and fulfillment overall.

In order to do that we have to look at ourselves like the complex humans that we are. With many different needs and desires across different compartments of our life: Personal, Career, Intellectual, Physical, Emotional, Family, & Spirituality. And each one of these areas supports the other areas.

In this awesome conversation with Chad Brown, Leadership Coach & Associate Partner at Take New Ground, we talk about the difference between compartmentalization and integration.

Many people spend most of their lives highly focused on two compartments: Career and Family. The other compartments, that are important pieces of who we are, tend to go dormant. This creates the feeling of being unfulfilled, or like certain areas of your life are competing against each other (compartmentalization) instead of working to support each other(integration).

If you want to start living a more harmonious life where you feel less stress and more satisfaction across all areas of your life, this episode is for you!
