Description

In this episode we listen to four experts discuss the Volcanic Eruption of Fagradalsfjall and how research on seismic activity connected the Arctic and Space. First is a keynote from Shay Strong, VP Analytics, Iceye, then speeches from Freysteinn Sigmundsson, Head, Faculty of Earth Sciences, Nordic Volcanological Center, University of Iceland, Vincent Drouin, Geophysicist, Icelandic MET office and Daniel Leeb, Founding Partner and Executive Mission Director, Iceland Space Agency followed by a Q&A from the audience. The dialogue was moderated by Tero Vauraste, Senior Advisor and Regional Director of Iceye, Global Fellow Woodrow Wilson Center. This event originally took place at the 2021 Arctic Circle Assembly in Reykjavík, Iceland and was organzed in collaboration with Iceye.
