BONUS EPISODE! We finally had the chance to have our dear friend, anti-human trafficking activist, and co-founder of Stand By Survivors, Emma Pietrzak on our podcast. She is the host of The Imagination podcast and the creator of the Survivor Series in which she features survivors from all walks of life. At the release of this podcast, Emma has had close to 15 different survivors speak on her platform. It is important to recognize that when Emma brings a survivor onto her podcast, it is often the first interaction they've had with each other beyond text messages, and instead of these guests discussing how they became famous, how great their book is doing, or what new trend is occurring, they are discussing the deepest, darkest secrets with the world. She is an amazing host, making the survivors feel comfortable and empathizing with their stories as they are told. The emotions you'll see are true emotions from hearing the survivor story first hand.
Stand By Survivors is our main organization that fights for and supports survivors of all backgrounds. We take this time to explain how the three of us got into this calling of anti-human trafficking, what we've been through because we are in this fight, and how blessed we are to be on this journey together. The power, spirituality, and strength we see in these survivors has helped us push through, find ourselves, and stand strong in our truth.
