𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐈𝐈𝐈: Welcome back, 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬. Each week, we explore how entrepreneurship, leadership and mindset play into success in the commercial real estate space. Today we welcome 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐲 𝐌𝐜𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧 to the Foundry. Thanks for coming on the show, Andy.
𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐲 𝐌𝐜𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧: Yeah, honored to be here. Thanks George. Appreciate it. You don't mind people calling it gorgeous George right, does that embarrass you a little bit?
𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐈𝐈𝐈: No, not at all. So that would be a reminder of where we met. So you probably saw me on a call with Dan Frydenberg.
𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐲 𝐌𝐜𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧: It might have been.
𝐆𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐈𝐈𝐈: Yeah, might, might have been a shout out to Dan. Yeah, a big shout out to Dan. So he gave me my nickname, and that's a reminder I need to choose my gorgeous virtual background. So let's get that rolling. So, all right, so let's just start by giving an opportunity to introduce yourself. Tell our audience, who is Andy McMullen?
𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐲 𝐌𝐜𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧: Yeah. So you know, I've been in this business, George, probably about 20 years. I kind of started off as a broker Ok, not great at it, kind of evolved into some development syndication, really kind of got my ass handed to me. My first syndication almost blew up my whole business and kind of was able to sneak back from there and ultimately kind of evolved into multifamily investing, probably about twenty twelve and then we kind of built out our team investing in Southern California, central California and then when the rent control was enacted California, we really started kind of spread our wings, took a lot of our investors to the southeast, really started to look into the build to rent trend in the southeast.
